Senior Night Celebration – We will have our annual Mighty Hawk Band Senior Night Celebration this Thursday at the BHS vs. Carter Riverside football game. Festivities will kick off with our Senior Parent Reception in the BHS Cafeteria starting at 5:15pm with Punch, Cake, and an opportunity for photos. All Senior Members and their Parents and Grandparents are invited. Parental dress for the evening is “Sunday’s Best”. We will then head down to the stadium for the game. Please remember that parents will “Escort” their Seniors on to the field at the start of halftime for the presentation of their Senior Medals. There will be an opportunity for photos at the conclusion of halftime. Please plan to attend as we celebrate with our Seniors!

Birdville ISD Marching Festival – We’re super excited to start the last leg of the Marching Band Season, Contest Season! It is a way different vibe then a football game, with an entire stadium filled with people that are only there to see the bands. Starting the show and having it completely silent and hearing the audience go crazy at the first big hit! It’s a very special experience for the performers, and we hope that you’ll plan to come out and cheer us on. Remember, all proceeds from Saturday’s contest will be split between all three of the high school band programs.

Academics / No Pass No Play – Since we just finished out the third week of classes, I just want to take a moment to remind everyone of the Texas State law “No Pass, No Play”. At the end of each six weeks grading period, anyone with a grade of 69% or below will be considered “ineligible” to participate in any extra curricular / co curricular activities. The only classes that are eligibility exempt are “AP Courses”. Please be sure to stay on top of your grades now. We can’t afford to lose anyone due to not passing our classes. Let’s get it done folks!

See you guys tomorrow!
